On the 4 th  of January, 2026, the Hurst Equestrian Department added a new event to the calendar – The Hurst College New Year Fun Show held at Hascombe Farm Equestrian Centre. The Hurst Equestrian Team finished off a very successful 2025 with another great show. Many of our Grass Roots riders headed to Felbridge Equestrian Centre on the 7 th  of December for some qualifying classes. In the 50cm optimum time class both Hurst riders rode lovely double clears. On the 16 November some of Hurst Equestrian’s youngest riders headed to Sands Farm for a NSEA Grass Roots Show Jumping competition. In the 50cm class the team finished in 3 rd  place, qualifying them for the Grass Roots Regional Championships. Well done Willow I, Atticus AH, and Sienna P. After a year of hard work in qualifying classes, Hurst students proudly represented the college at the NSEA Championships held at Addington Manor, Buckinghamshire. On 25th September 2025, Hickstead Showground played host to the largest-ever Hurst College Inter-Schools Team and Individual Showjumping Competition.
