On 10 May, five of Hurst Equestrian’s youngest riders travelled to Beech Farm to compete in the NSEA Grass Roots Regional Championships and Areas Festival qualifiers. It proved to be an outstanding day, with the small but mighty team bringing home an impressive twelve rosettes and seven qualifications between them. Over the four days of the 1st to the 4th of May, twenty-one Hurst students enjoyed an action-packed residential camp at Hickstead Showground. Our riders achieved placings in every single class, from 40cm through to 90cm. Every Hurst team finished in the top three, supported by some brilliant individual performances. It was a successful February Half Term for the Hurst Equestrian Team, with riders attending two shows and bringing home an impressive collection of rosettes and qualifications. On the 4 th of January, 2026, the Hurst Equestrian Department added a new event to the calendar – The Hurst College New Year Fun Show held at Hascombe Farm Equestrian Centre.
