Tracey Pargeter
Head of Equestrian at Hurst
Tracey is an experienced horsewoman who has been heavily involved in the equestrian industry for many years. She was assistant DC of the South Down Hunt West Pony Club for 6 years, and then DC for 8 years.
Tracey took on the role of Head of Equestrian at Hurst in 2021 and has expanded and grown the program extensively since, with many more plans still in the works for present and future students to enjoy.

Harriet Upton
Coach | Team GB event rider
Harriet is a successful event rider and trainer who has competed internationally and has ridden for Team GB. She is based at Highden Estate where she has her horses and regularly runs training clinics.

Harriet started riding for HM The Queen in 2017, and continues to produce young horses for HRH The King.
As an event rider Harriet is able to help students with a variety of disciplines, including coaching on the flat, over solid fences for cross country, and round a course of showjumps.

Ashley Boyce
Coach | Showjumping rider
Ashley is a professional showjumper, and a BHSI and BS accredited coach. She is prolific winner of young horses classes, and has seen great success in national and international classes including sixth in the Hickstead Speed Derby in 2023, and qualifying for the world breeding championships, Zangersheide 2024.
She regularly runs clinics and coaches across Sussex, travels for national competitions, and rides for Brendon stud. She has also created EquiMind, where she helps riders grow their confidence. Ashley uses this wealth of experience to help Hurst students progress with their horses.

Sophie Rees
Equestrian Assistant and Coach at Hurst
​Sophie manages a livery yard local to the college and competes British Showjumping. She is a UKCC Level 2 qualified coach, offering teaching and running clinics. She does a lot of work with horses on the ground and is perusing a growing interest in equine behaviourism.
She uses her knowledge and experience to support Tracey, students, and the coaches.
