Final Chance to Qualify
Felbridge, 27 September, provided the final opportunity for riders to secure qualification places for the NSEA National Championships 2026. The competition also provided an opportunity for students to qualify for the Grass Roots Regional Championships and Grass Roots Festival, both taking place next year.
The day began brilliantly with Poppy OK, one of our youngest riders, producing a lovely clear round in the 40cm Grass Roots class to finish 4th, securing her qualification for next year's finals.

Success continued in the 50cm class, where the team of Becca V, Lucky OK and Penny G finished in 2nd place, earning qualification for the finals. Penny also achieved 3rd place individually, with Becca close behind in 4th. Both riders qualified individually as well as with the team. Our Grass Roots riders finished on a high with a fantastic victory in the 60cm class. Huge congratulations to the three returning 50cm riders, joined by Maggie H, on their win. Penny capped off an outstanding day by claiming her fourth rosette and qualification of the competition, finishing 1st individually. Well done to all involved!

Alongside the Grass Roots classes, this was also the final opportunity for Hurst riders to qualify for the Show Jumping Championships at Addington, held in October. The day got off to a fantastic start with the 70cm team of Florence MC, Poppy L and Elsa S winning their class. Elsa's clear round earned her 5th place individually, narrowly missing out on an individual qualification.
Hurst riders also took victory in the 80cm class, with Annabel J finishing 3rd individually, securing her qualification for the championships.

The day concluded in perfect fashion, with Rosie C winning the 1m individual qualifier after producing a superbly fast clear round.
A huge congratulations to all the Hurst riders. It was a fantastic day of competition, resulting in five team and individual victories and ten championship qualifications.
